We arrived about 1:30 PM, thinking there would be at least some evidence of activity related to the race, since the pre-race dinner and check-in activities were all to be at the lodge in just a few hours. I wanted to take a leisurely walk around the course, seeing it for the first time, and get some pictures. This spot is where we started. The lodge is just out of view to the left (south).
