I referred to Laura in my race story as my guardian angel (along with Alene Nitzky), because she spent hours on two different nights walking laps with me, and also did other things to help me get close to my running goal. She stayed up all night the last night, serving in various capacities as a volunteer to help us all. Laura is an impressive runner herself, as the winner of the ARR Crown King 50-mile race the last two years in a row.
