Michael, age 67, is a warm and friendly man. He was on the 1964 Olympic cycling team, and set a ratified world age-group record for 48 hours at the Ultracentric race in November, 2001. He has been battling injuries, but was at this race to mostly walk just 50 miles if he could. He got 44.74 miles.
