It must be about 45 minutes from the end of the race here, as I cross the mat for the gazillionth time. I'd been going more-or-less steadily since 6:30. At 8:00 my pace increased, though I still walked most of the time until the last four laps.
The clown is at the right is Jay Anderson, who came in fourth in the 24-hour with 108 miles. He had been astonishing everyone with sprints very late in the race.
